a note from the committee....

Dear Parishioners,

As you all know, we are in a transitional phase, and we are looking for new priest in charge.  The committee has been selected, and I wanted to thank all of you who applied - the choices in were hard, especially as the committee has to be only 7 members and three of those slots were already assigned (1 chairman and two vestry).  However, I think we have chosen a wide diversity of members, representing every age group, each service Rite, old members and new and also we bring together some useful skills from a variety of backgrounds.

The committee has yet to formally meet, but I wanted to assure everyone that we will always be working on your behalf to find the perfect fit for our family.  Believe me when I tell you that this is no easy task - not because we are hard to please, but because the paperwork process will likely take over a year, and the number of priests retiring outweigh the number of new recruits. I intend to make the process quick and efficient if we at all can, and will keep you regularly updated right here on the website - so keep checking in on this page.

Secondly, I would like to say to all parishioners, old, new and even first timers - do not be afraid to approach anyone on the committee.  We need to hear from you, and if you wish to remain anonymous then you can.  Everything you tell us will be kept in strict confidentiality, but we do want to hear your opinions on everything - not just what you want from a vicar pastorally, but also socially and also what you want from a church that a new vicar may be able to accommodate.  For example, do you want a priest in charge more heavily involved in community outreach? Do you think that an evening service in the week may be a way forward in the church if the priest in charge can do it? Do you want a modern priest with relatable sermons or a by the book theologian? And if you have a kid in Sunday School or Trinity Teens then get them to tell us too.

Find someone you can relate to on the committee and chat. They'll bring it back to the committee and I promise we will take it all under advisement.

For now, thanks for reading, and keep checking back for updates.

God Bless,

I do think community outreach is important and also support a priest with relatable sermons that do refer us to the biblical passages. Thanks so much for all you all are doing in this challenging venture!
